Karma brahmodbhavam viddhi brahmaakshara-samudbhavam, tasmat sarva-gatam brahma nityam yajne pratishthitam

Know that prescribed action arises from the Vedas, and the Vedas arise from the imperishable Brahman. Therefore the all-pervading Brahman is eternally established in sacrifice. Sacred duty has its root in the Absolute.

Rishibhir bahudha gitam cchandobhir vividhaih prithak, brahma-sutra-padaish chaiva hetumadbhir vinishchitaih

This knowledge of the field and its knower has been sung by the sages in various ways, in different Vedic hymns, and in the Brahma-sutra with all its reasonings and conclusions. The wisdom is thus well-established across sacred traditions.

Sarvasya chaham hridi sannivishto mattah smritir jnanam apohanam cha, vedaish cha sarvair aham eva vedyo vedanta-krid veda-vid eva chaham

I am seated in the hearts of all; from Me come memory, knowledge, and understanding. I am verily that which is to be known by all the Vedas; I am indeed the author of Vedanta and the knower of the Vedas.
